'Marking it Up' is the second contemporary art exhibition in a series that started with the grand opening of the Grand Society to the public in August 2008. Grand Society has since it's opening stirred much attention and is an important new member of the Grand St revival in Williamsburg.

'Marking it Up', is an exhibition featuring Photography by Monica M?ller and Paintings by graffiti / muralist artist's Davide and Raoul Perre, at the Grand Society gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

The exhibition explores two different approaches in viewing our current urban landscape in New York City. One view with an emphasis on a gaze that is directed towards the sky, and the other, an instinctive urge of expression and mark making on the walls that surround us. The exhibition encompasses full color and black & white photography of the city, with a handmade unfolding book, in a series titled 'Up' by Monica M?ller, alongside the colorful and striking works on canvas that provide a glimpse into the incredibly diverse skill range and visual vocabulary of artists Davide and Raoul Perre.

The 'Mark It Up' Exhibition is curated by Johan Kritzinger and will be on show at the Grand Society, Opening on December 2nd through December 28th, 2008.
